Large Chinese and Uzbekistan companies signed agreements for more than 25 billion $

The President of Uzbekistan launched joint ventures and met with leading representatives of the Chinese business community.

On May 19, a number of business events were held as part of the second day of Shavkat Mirziyoyev's official visit to China. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China He Lifen, visited the exhibition of Uzbek-Chinese cooperation in Xi'an.

On the sidelines of the exhibition in the format of a teleconference between Xi'an and the Syrdarya, Tashkent, Jizzakh and Samarkand regions of Uzbekistan, there was held a solemn ceremony of launching new joint projects.
The President of Uzbekistan, by pressing a symbolic button, launched 15 production facilities for the production of cars and electric vehicles, construction materials, a wide range of metal products and rolled products, medical supplies, as well as the construction of new enterprises worth $3.3 billion.
The President then held a meeting with leading representatives of China's business, financial and investment circles.

It is noted that as part of joint business events, agreements were reached on the implementation of new high-tech industrial, trade and investment projects for more than $25 billion in the fields of energy, chemistry, metallurgy, geology, automotive, electrical engineering, construction and others.
During the exchange of views, the heads of the largest Chinese corporations, companies and banks confirmed their commitment to further development of cooperation with Uzbekistan. Readiness was expressed to expand practical cooperation in priority areas, especially in the creation of high-tech and innovative industries.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the heads of ministries and departments of Uzbekistan to take personal control over the implementation of the initiatives voiced during the events, as well as to adopt an appropriate road map indicating step-by-step mechanisms and specific deadlines for implementation.
